We have had so much fun with Lily's room that it makes sense that we use that creativity and continue to improve our surroundings :-). We got Logan a bunk bed when he was five... and now that he is almost 11, we decided that we should tackle his room next. When we moved into this home his room, that falls in the helpful people area, was painted red. We felt the affects of this so we put a metal glaze over it to make it metal instead of fire. I was never happy with the result but from a Feng Shui perspective we were safe.
Logan is a HUGE San Antonio Spurs fan and is quite a basketball player.... so how lucky are we that the color for his area of the home is grey and white.... This morning was the day!! I got up and drove him to Lowe's to pick out his paint. We got two gallons and headed to get our doughnuts to give us energy to paint today :-). We have picked out black furniture for this space and I have ordered Spurs decals to put on his walls along with all of the posters he has collected. (and the walls look and feel so perfect!!)
From a Feng Shui perspective this is really a great concept. We will meet all of the requirements and he is happy!! How does it get any better than that? My one dilemma is how to incorporate the world map to represent our territory? Since we work with clients and students from all over the world, I want to keep a world map in his space without looking out of place. (When we added the world map to his room a few years ago, our school went International!!) I am looking at creative ways to include this in his new space and will let you know when I come up it... If anyone has any ideas, please feel free to share!!
I will continue to work in his room and when we finish this week I will post some pics to show. By then I will have solved my world map dilemma.... I hope :-)

Hmmm, how to put a world map into his room. Have you thought about a globe? Or maybe a book of maps? I love all of the ways you incorporated Feng Shui into this room - really inventive and I'm sure he's sleeping much better because of these changes.
Hi Lynda, thanks for sharing those ideas, we actually do have a book of maps in there already, I just wanted to see one on the wall and have it make sense to be in that space :-)
I am considering getting many maps from all over the world and sort of wallpapering his closet. Another option is to get a US Map and pin the places that the Spurs will be travelling to or even the places their team members are from.
I just want it to look like it belongs in the room and give it meaning to Logan as well as the rest of us!
I'll let you know what I come up with!!
